    After being extremely frustrated one day over another blog’s refusal to give me a reason, I decided to start my own. 

   The idea behind The Maverick Chef actually stems from a desire to share ideas, stories, resources with my fellow hospitality friends. It also gives me another creative outlet that doesn’t involve garlic or chocolate. Can I work bacon into this thing though? Damn. I am not politically motivated and I follow no rules save for some moral ethics of my own. 

   So, send me a story, get in on a subject, tell me about the customer from hell( we all like those stories). I’ll put it up here and no one will tell you “No”. Found a new farmer or fisherman? Perhaps a new purveyor? Some great wines that don’t cost $100 or more? Or maybe just some R&D for yourself.
